Headlines sentiment signals

What happened, does it matter, and what did it do last time?

Pick the assets you trade and get the stories, unusual moves and scheduled releases that matter in Telegram — with what the price did after similar events before. Behind it sits a de-duplicated, sentiment-scored news API and an MCP endpoint for your own tools. Historical data, not financial advice.

One key, plain HTTP. The same data feeds your agents, bots and dashboards.

From headline to context

Built for traders first; every part is also available through the API.

Telegram alerts

Choose your assets and event types in the portal, link Telegram, and get moves, upcoming releases and flags. Free during beta with daily caps; /mute any time.

Your watchlist

One page with your assets' latest stories, moves and next releases, so you see only what you follow.

What happened last time

Each story has a type. See how the price moved 15 minutes, 1, 4 and 24 hours after earlier stories of that type, with the sample size, and whether the move had already happened.

Why is it moving?

Unusual 15-minute moves are matched to the story or release that most likely explains them — or marked "no news found".

Calendar warnings

Central bank decisions and major US data releases, flagged shortly before and followed by what the market did.

MCP for your AI tools

Use the same data from Claude Code, Cursor and other MCP clients with your API key at mcp.trademcp.dev/mcp. See the setup guide.

Reactions are historical measurements and small samples are shown as such. Calibration of impact scores is still in progress. Data and disclaimer.

Developer API: the news layer your stack is missing

No scrapers to babysit. No NLP pipeline to run. No duplicate headlines flooding your agent.

One story, not twelve headlines.

Syndicated and rewritten copies are clustered into a single story, so a rumour echoed by a dozen sites counts once — and you can still see who covered it.

Tagged to what you trade

Every article is linked to the assets it's about — crypto, FX pairs, currencies, gold, oil — with "in the headline" weighted above a passing mention.

Sentiment and impact scores

Direction from −1 to +1, a confidence, and an impact score that weighs source credibility, novelty and focus. The highest-impact stories can carry a short written analysis.

Alerts by keyword and symbol

"Any ETF or SEC news on BTC with impact above 0.5" — delivered as an HMAC-signed webhook with retries and a delivery log you can inspect.

Search, stream or poll

Full-text search with filters and cursors, a live WebSocket stream, and per-asset sentiment series with a trending view of unusual news volume.

Built for automation

Scoped API keys you manage yourself, usage and delivery logs, stable JSON, idempotent deliveries. Designed for agents and bots first, humans second.

From headline to signal in minutes

Four steps from an API key to news-aware trading.

01

Get a key

Join the beta, then create scoped keys yourself in the dashboard — read news, read sentiment, manage alerts, or stream.

02

Ask for what moves your book

Query /v1/news/search by keyword, symbol, sentiment and impact, or pull /v1/assets/BTC/sentiment as a time series.

03

Set alert rules

Describe what you care about once. Matching stories arrive at your webhook, signed, within seconds of being scored.

04

Wire it into your agent

Give your trading AI the context before it acts — and pair it with MTContext to let it trade on MetaTrader.

Frequently asked questions

What's in the data, how it's scored, and how to use it safely.

Where does the news come from?

From public RSS feeds and APIs of the publishers and institutions listed above, plus GDELT's global news index. We keep titles, summaries and links, and each item links to the original article.

How fresh is it?

Most sources are checked every two to five minutes, and an article is scored and available — or delivered to your webhook — within seconds of being picked up.

How are sentiment and impact calculated?

A finance-tuned language model scores every article from −1 (bearish) to +1 (bullish) with a confidence. Impact combines that with how credible the source is, whether the story is new or a repeat, and whether the asset is the subject or a passing mention. The highest-impact stories can also carry a short written analysis. Scores are signals to weigh, not instructions to trade.

How far back can I search?

Articles are kept for 30 days. Per-asset sentiment series go back a year, so you can still look at longer trends after the articles themselves have expired.

Can I use it with Claude or MTContext?

Yes. There is a hosted MCP endpoint (setup guide) for clients that support remote servers with an API key header, and any agent that can make an HTTP request can use the REST API. Webhooks can trigger your own workflows alongside MTContext.
